A multilingual, self-shooting director. I have photographed and filmed factual projects across five continents and am no stranger to challenging environments, shooting everywhere from up in the jungle treetops with a tree house dwelling Papuan tribe to out at sea with an RNLI lifeboat crew. I am particularly interested in current affairs, investigative journalism and human rights, yet equally drawn to telling stories which celebrate life in all its complexity and absurdity.
In the past, I worked in Acquisitions & Development for New Line Cinema and Paramount Pictures, then as Assistant Producer of The British Independent Film Awards for several years. However, a desire to explore and experiment inspired me to set up Planet Caravan Productions, which produces factual content in a variety of formats for the third sector, as well as more aesthetic projects for musicians, designers and museums.
Alongside my online work, I also freelance as a Shooting Producer / DV Director for broadcast television, working on everything from major series like 'Hunted' (Channel 4) to micro teams on one off documentaries like 'Stacey Dooley Touchdown USA: New Orleans Saints'. I have experience on a range of access-based programmes, at times working with vulnerable contributors on sensitive subjects. Above all, I love to break new ground - pilots, new series, extreme environments... and I am driven by curiosity.
When not filming or taking photographs, I enjoy camping, pottery, climbing and listening to live music.
